EAC Welcomes New Interns

Jun 12, 2017

us_eac_interns_2017_blogEAC is super excited to welcome our summer law clerks -- Aaron Yi, Kimberly Leon and Mofetoluwa (Mofe) Obadina -- to the Office of the General Counsel team! Although all three are working on EAC’s policies and procedures compilation project, Aaron is rolling up his sleeves and diving into assisting Testing and Certification with the state requirement reporting and map overlapping of state and EAC certification requirements. Team Kim/Mofe have been tasked with researching state and federal laws in regards to the NVRA.

Let me introduce them:

He attended James Madison University and attained his BS in Health Sciences in 2015.  Currently, he is a rising 2L at Catholic University, Columbus School of Law. Aaron spent two summers teaching English at international schools in Thailand.

“I am enthusiastic about my opportunity here at the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) and eager to learn and contribute to this agency.”

She is a rising third year law student at American University, Washington College of Law and studied Philosophy & Spanish at Washington State University. In her spare time, she likes running, baking, and reading fiction novels. A little fun fact – Kim likes to travel to somewhere new every year.

“I am very excited to be working at the Election Assistance Commission this summer, I am looking forward to learning more about election law and seeing what kind of impact the EAC has as a government organization.”
