Voting System Testing Update

The “Voting System Testing Update” blog is an effort to keep everyone informed of the progress systems in the EAC’s Testing and Certification Program are making each week.  We hope that this adds additional transparency to our process and allows stakeholders to get a weekly update about test campaigns that impact their jurisdiction.

Voting Systems Under Test:  

ClearBallot Group ClearVote 1.4.  EAC responses to version C of the Clear Vote 1.4 Test Plan are due by June 16th. If you would like to view documents related to this test campaign, please visit our website. Brian Hancock is the project manager on this test campaign.

Dominion Democracy Suite 5.0-A. EAC approved Rev. D of the Test Plan on May 25th.  If you would like to view documents related to this test campaign, please visit our website. Ryan Macias is the project manager on this test campaign.

ES&S EVS 6.0.0.0.  On June 5, 2017, the EAC approved the application for the ES&S EVS 6.0.0.0 voting system. ES&S EVS 6.2.0.0. On June 12, 2017, the EAC approved the application for the ES&S EVS 6.2.0.0 voting system. Everyone Counts elect Quad Audit 4.4.0. On June 6, 2017, Everyone Count submitted a requested to withdraw Quad Audit 4.4.0 from the EAC Testing and Certification process. No additional information was provided by the manufacturer in the notification.

Microvote EMS 4.2. EAC is awaiting response to the comments submitted on the MicroVote 4.2 Test Plan. Testing is ongoing at this time. If you would like to view documents related to this test campaign, please visit our website. Brian Hancock is the project manager on this test campaign.

Unisyn OpenElect 2.0. EAC reviewed and approved the answers to questions submitted on the root cause analysis for the discrepancy found during testing. Testing continues at this time.
